Deciding who to go to for training and the purchase of that new aircraft is tough. For many of our most important decisions it is not uncommon for us to ask for references. But some feel uncomfortable doing that. So we have provided some references here. Contact information is available upon request. We hope this helps.

Felt (Fredericksburg, VA)I’ve known Terri since shortly after his “western adventure” tour of the northwest and the startup of his new company Precision Windsports, Inc. Back in those days, it was much more difficult finding information related to trikes and trike flying. I had just purchased a brand new Airborne Classic (not from Terri) and was having problems obtaining consistent and timely instruction. I gave Terri a call and he immediately took on the mission to get me properly trained so I could fly my new trike. Around the same time Sport Pilot and the whole SLSA/ESLA thing was just beginning to be implemented. There were a lot of rumors, misleading information and confusion out there and I discovered early on that Terri was the guy I go to for credible information. Terri became the first CFI-Weight-Shift Instructor back in early 2005 and has obtained SPE/SPIE and LSA repairman certifications. He also has become a Designated Airworthiness Representative for our area. He’s considered one of the industry experts in the weight-shift control arena. I’ve attended the ESLA Inspection course he taught through Virginia Aviation. He also regularly teaches both the inspection & the weight-shift control module for Rainbow Aviation. Precision Windsports, Inc. has become one stop shopping for the east coast trike community.
Terri is a great instructor. He’s extremely professional, honest and safety conscience. He seems to be unflappable (believe me, I know!) in the air and his students quickly acquire confidence, become self-assured and more importantly they really enjoy themselves. He has developed an effective training environment at his home airport in Lynchburg and is always prepared. I truly enjoyed training with Terri and always look forward to linking up with him for my fight reviews. I recently purchased a new wing from him and he demonstrated to me both the setup and tuning procedures associated with this particular wing in the same meticulous fashion he does everything. I’ve met Terri’s wife & boys at various air shows & fly-ins and it quickly becomes obvious that he’s a dedicated family man and all around good person. Needless to say, I highly recommend Terri & Precision Windsports, Inc. I completely trust Terri with both my wallet and my life.
Paradise
Air (Hawaii)Terri and PWS are our #1 choice!
My husband and I own and operate Paradise Air, a trike business on the North Shore of O'ahu. We get a lot of visitors coming through our hangar door.... most are here to try it once and have a great adventure. We take over 1000 people a year on their very first trike flight!
THE PROBLEM: After we get them hooked... they are only here for a short time. Most are on vacation and don't have a few weeks to commit to flight training.
THE SOLUTION: TERRI and PRECISION WINDSPORTS! Terri is our A#1 choice for where we send our students to continue flight training. We've been sending students over to PWS for over 6 years with glowing results.
When our "fledglings" want to know where to go to get the best training east of the Mississippi, we send them to PWS without hesitation. Do yourself a favor.... get on Terri's training schedule and you can rest assured you are being trained by the very best in the industry!

Terri, Thanks for letting me borrow your trike for my annual DPE check. I realize that it is a sacrifice to loan it out during the Sun N Fun show. Also appreciate your coordinating Airborne Australia experts and my in-depth/detailed questions for the Aerodynamics section of the FAA “Weight-Shift Control Flying Handbook” . Assisting with both these requests helped myself and the industry significantly. Overall, thanks so much for your straightforward and unbiased assistance over the years allowing me to depend and count on your advice.
Sincerely,
Paul Hamilton CFI, DPE(SPE/SPIE/PE)

After earning nearly all the pilot and instructor ratings the FAA offers, Weight Shift Control was one of the last items on my list. I talked with several people before I finally decided on Precision Windsports. After spending just a few minutes on the phone with Terri, I quickly came to the conclusion that Precision Windsports not only had the experience I was looking for, but also had extensive knowledge in the area of Sport Pilots and Instructors. When I arrived, I was greeted by the friendly staff of instructors and quickly fell in love with flying the machine. I found the equipment to be of the highest quality and well maintained. After my first flight as a student, I felt very confident that I had made the best choice for my training. I am eagerly looking forward to flying with Terri again to earn my Weight Shift Control Flight Instructor Sport endorsement

To anyone looking to enter the exciting world of trike flying, you will not be disappointed with Terri Sipantzi of Precision Windsports.
For over two years I researched the Internet trying to gather as much information as I could before purchasing a trike. When I came across Terri's web site and saw the cool, sleek look of Airborne trikes, I immediately began an email assault on Terri. Question after question, he was quick to respond with informative answers.
Because of Terri's General aviation background, he has a broad range of knowledge, not only for the Sport pilot but also the GA pilot that is making the transition like me. I remember when I went to Lynchburg to do my flight training and pickup my new trike, I felt like a kid on Christmas morning. When the hanger door lifted and I saw my beautiful trike, I almost cried. Finally, after years of thought and planning, I was 2000 feet over the scenic Lynchburg Va. area flying in my new Airborne trike, and Terri was there to help me every step of the way.
The only thing he could not help me with was removing the ear to ear grin that was permanently on my face:)
Thanks for everything Terri,
Michael Brandt

Dessart -- Owner of the first AirBorne SLSA Weight-ShiftAs an Ultralight Trike Pilot living in a city, I longed to eliminate commuting for hours to go flying in more rural areas. So I was eagerly awaiting the implementation of the Sport Pilot/Light Sport Aircraft rules for trikes which would give me a way to fly from my local airport.
As a Private Pilot flying in busy Class B & C airspace I had experience working very much within the world of FAA rules and regulations. And flying ultralight trikes, I'd experienced being very much outside that system. So I knew that to bridge those worlds would take a solid General Aviation background in addition to ultralight experience.
That's why, when I set out to purchase what was to become AirBorne's first SLSA, I chose to work with Precision Windsports. I could see that Terri's background, experience and preparation for the SP/LSA rollout would serve us well in previously uncharted territory.
I'm pleased to say that not only did the SLSA registration process (and getting my Weight Shift endorsement) go very well as a result, but that I've continued to enjoy working with Terri in the years since. I appreciate his professionalism, flexibility and overall desire to help not just his customers but any fellow aviator. Whether you're a long-time trike pilot looking for a first-class aircraft; a fixed- or rotary-wing pilot looking for the "wing in your hands" experience of triking; or not yet a pilot at all but looking for a fun and affordable way to get into flying, you should talk with Terri.
